Transcript:

Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. In order to conduct a successful job search, you need to begin with a very clear career focus. What is your career objective? Can you state very succinctly in a 30 second elevator pitch who you are and what you want to do? Do you have a clear and focused objective on your resume? You can narrow it down by job type, industry, and/or geography. Make it specific. Until you have a clear career focus, don’t begin your job search. Seek out the guidance needed via career assessments and career counseling. Developing your career focus will actually make your job search easier since you will be able to quickly identify the job opportunities, which align with your career focus. This has been The Job Search Minute, for more career information please visit CollegeGrad.com.
